Dr. Oleh Kay is a Consultant Psychiatrist who has more than 30 years experience working in his own private practice. Prior to that he worked in the Department of Health, and as Director of the Bentley Older Adult Unit.
He was awarded his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Western Australia in 1983 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 1989.
Dr. Kay sees adults in his practice, for a range of psychiatric issues including anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, and attention deficit disorder.
Referral from a General Practitioner or Medical Specialist is required. However, as Dr. Kay is in high demand, his capacity to take on new patients is very limited. Duty of care to his current patients means that he must restrict new patient admissions.
Dr. Kay is recent chair of the WA Branch of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. For a number of years he was a general councillor of RANZCP.
For many consecutive years, he was a member of the Psychologists Registration Board of WA, and a Past President, WA Branch of the Australian & New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and the Law.
Some of Dr. Kay’s varied professional memberships include Old Age Psychiatry, RANZCP Forensic Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Addiction Psychiatry, Traumatic Stress Studies, Psychology and the Law, and Family Therapy.
